Gasum (holding 70% of Skangas) is a Finnish expert in natural energy gases. The company imports natural gas to Finland and upgrades natural energy gas. The company transmits and supplies them for energy production, industry, homes, and land and maritime transport. Gasum is owned by the Finnish state (71, and has its head office in Espoo, Finland. Gasum employs more than 300 employees.
Lyse (holding 30% of Skangas) is a Norwegian Group, operating within the fields of electricity generation, distribution and telecommunication. Lyse is owned by 16 municipalities in the Sør-Rogaland district of Norway, and has its head office in Stavanger, Norway. Lyse employs nearly 1,000 people.
For the first time the Skangas’ Coralius bunkered liquefied natural gas (LNG) to a vessel. The operation took place on international waters, Northern Kattegat, in the middle of the sea between Frederikshavn, Denmark and Gothenburg, Sweden.
Skangas’ Coralius had her maiden voyage delivering LNG to their terminal in Øra, Fredrikstad in Norway on 14 September. The vessel was loaded with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Skangas’ own production facility in Risavika, Stavanger.
